James Tracy, Ph.D., MBA, Ed.M
Dr. James Tracy is a nationally and internationally renowned educator and speaker on the implications of technology inflections for education, workforce development, spirituality, and social policy.
He is co-author of Running with Robots: The Future of Education, about the implications of AI and robotics for education, forthcoming from MIT Press. He is a visiting Research Professor at Boston University’s School of Education. Jim received a Ph.D. in History from Stanford University as well as an M.B.A. (with a concentration in nonprofit management) and an Ed.M. (in Higher Education Administration) from Boston University.
He has been the head of several independent schools and, most recently, President of the Woodrow Wilson Graduate School of Teaching and Learning, an innovative teacher training college founded in collaboration with MIT.
Jim has been a Board Member of the Bostonian Society, an education advisor to Singularity University, a Visiting Fellow at Yale University, a Klingenstein Fellow at Columbia University, an Affiliate of the Berkman Center for Internet and Society at Harvard Law School, and a Board member of Boston University’s Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer-Range Future.
He is currently Co-Chair of the MassRobotics Work of the Future Committee, a Member of the MassRobotics Advisory Board, a Board member of the Boston edtech convener and accelerator LearnLaunch, a member of the Advisory Board for Boston University’s Digital Education Initiative, a member of the MIT Subgroup on Skills and Training (within the MIT Future of Work Taskforce), a Board member of the Massachusetts Association of Nonprofit Schools and Colleges, and a Trustee of the Boston Athenaeum, among other endeavors.
Renee Williams, MD, MHPE, FACG
Dr. Renee Williams is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology at NYU Grossman School of Medicine where she serves as the Program Director for the gastroenterology training program. Along with her interest in gastroenterology, she has a significant focus in medical education. She completed her Master’s in Health Profession Education at NYU Grossman School of Medicine and Maastricht University in the Netherlands. She currently serves on the NYC Citywide Colorectal Cancer Coalition (C5) screening guidelines committee and is a member of the Board of Trustees for the American College of Gastroenterology.
In the field of medical education, she has implemented a workshop along with authoring a manuscript and book chapter on educational scholarship. She has participated and implemented educational sessions for high school students and undergraduates focusing on topics geared towards their success. As a student of dance for the past three years under the instruction of Lukasz Lisowski, founder of Bond, Dr. Williams recognizes the significant health benefits gained via physical activity and mindfulness provided through dance.
Lisa Sabey, Founder, Parents-to-Parents
Lisa a mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and the founder of Parents-to-Parents, a 501(c)3 nonprofit with a mission to build wellness in families and societies.. She is passionate about informing the public about evidence based treatments, having families involved in treatments and alerting the public about problems in the mental health care system. She has produced award-winning documentaries that have been viewed internationally, including “American Tragedy” and “Going Sane.” Each film is founded on the need to improve mental health care in the USA. Lisa encourages parents to fight for evidence-based mental well-being programs to our youngest community members.
